Backyard Kitchen for Summer Living

This backyard makeover includes an outdoor kitchen and sitting area.
We converted a typical hillside backyard to a beautiful outdoor living space through the installation of an outdoor kitchen, patio cover, patio area, spa, water feature and children's play area.
The outdoor kitchen is installed with a stucco base, concrete countertop and accents from an old table the client had. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stainless steel BBQ, sink, refrigerator, stove top and plenty of storage space.
The stained redwood patio cover (approx $6,500), which provides shade for part of the outdoor kitchen and seating area, is enhanced with string lights (approx $200) and decorative curtains (approx $1,200) as well as heaters ($600 each) to keep guests warm below.
We increased the useable backyard space by installing a retaining wall which provided for more artificial lawn area (1,000 SF - approx $10K) for the children to play. The artificial turf connects the outdoor entertainment area to the children's play area. An existing oak tree was transformed into a tree house through a custom design including a slide, sand box, climbing wall, swings and ladder (approx $7,500).
The upper terraces of this property provided for opportunities to include water features. There is a spa on one terrace and a water feature on the other. The water feature extends the length of the entire terrace and flows down an 8' elevation change.
This garden is a great outdoor living space for the whole family. Parents can enjoy their outdoor kitchen and patio area while watching their children play across the artificial lawn in the tree house.
